You’ll want to have some hair and makeup ideas in mind, inspiration pictures are always welcome.
*Helpful Tip: Rather than just looking on Pinterest for ideas, try looking up Red Carpet styles of celebrities with similar coloring to your own. These photos can be found with several angles (What does the front of a hairstyle look like?) in all sorts of flash and outdoor/daylight photography, just like your wedding day. These photos are unedited and you’ll have a realistic idea of how makeup looks without filters.
If you already have your accessories (veil, clips, flowers, etc.) you’ll want to have those at the appointment, and dressing up a bit, in white, is helpful too. It gets tricky trying to visualize your bridal look while wearing yoga pants! This is the time to test product wear on your skin over time, or whether you even like certain looks at all. It’s a time for us to get to know each other and for me to learn your likes, dislikes and comfort level. I consider this appointment a “detailed rough draft”, and typically we make minor changes to make to perfect our look for the wedding day. Sometimes an entirely last minute style change happens the day of – and that’s okay, too!
